exciting stuff...

We did our normal routine today! I have some exciting news!!! As you know I've been researching and researching the toddler cirruculms, so I decided to make and sell my own.. It will be printable and easy to use... At a very reasonable price and have all the basic learning skills... Of course you will need minor supplies... I'm hoping to release oct month for oct 1 st at my hybridshoppe.com... I'll be making them month by month.... I'm so excited for this project

not so much wednesday..

Liana realy didn't want to learn much today, so we just played.. We read some books and cleaned the house... She help(sorta) me with laundry.. The rest of the day we organized baby stuff.. She sleeping and soon I will be too!!

gymboree day!!!

Today was a gymboree day, She participate as much as she could!! When we got home we read the new book I got from wal-mart.. I see a monster touch and feel book.. Very cute.. played with her shape flash cards, read her little scholatics number book (must have book) and colored with markers..

Yesterday her daddy put together her desk and bookshelve!! I was so happy about both!! Its a little hard playing on the floor these days..since I'm 33 weeks pregnant..

When we arrived home on sunday night, the oct month of high reach arrived harvest!! To my surprise it didn't have much to do with harvest or fall.. Its cute and has alot of ideas but just isn't for Liana.. I will cancel it... beside its 40$ a month and I find way to many cute hands on learning things to be stuck with a curriculm I have to buy stuff for.. For example dj inkers file folder games to go, I laminated the pieces and probably will be getting the folder laminated to, add some velcro and you've got yourself a fun hands on learning game!!! I bought set 1 and 3.. Set 1 is better for Liana.. Its got colors, shapes, animals, and much more.. I definitly love the way we are doing things.. Not being pushy, just finding fun things that keep her attention even if its only 10 mins, it still makes a difference..

I found a direct sale company that has to do with learning toys!!! You can throw parties and earn toys... I wish I knew more people were we moved!! Anyways maybe this can help someone else..

wild wednesday!!!

Liana is feeling better!!! Today we played a color matching game... read some of her favorite books.. and played out in the sand!!!

I've decide to give the high reach a chance, since we are not home and for the month of sept it has to do with school and home, making friends.. So I thinking the oct set will be better.. But I probably will change to the chubbie cubbie curriculm for next year.. Its cheaper and is crafty!!

Tuesdays events...

Today was kind of a lazy day.. Liana is still not 100% feeling well.. So I didn't push in the high reach activities today... We played with her shape puzzle, which she can put them all in the right spot!!! so proud!! We also played with the where's my game game again... I'm sure after she wakes up we will color or read some books.. I've been wanting to make a leaf collage with her but its been raining..

Mondays activities...Day one of high reach

Ok since we are away from home, its a little hard to stick to my schedule...Ahh hate that... Anyways our first day of high reach learning didn't go so well.. Their are 6 activities in a day. A focus, creative expression, science, math, physical health, and lang. emerging literacy activities.. We only did 2 of the acts yesterday.. We played what's in the basket for our focus and marker mania for our creative expression.. Being away, the basket one was hard since we hardly have any of our stuff here.. I kinda like my way better... Nothing was set in stone for the day but we worked in art, motor skills, learning shapes and colors, etc.. So for the rest of the day we did our normal routine!!!! Read a book about time and played a cute game about wheres my home, matching the dog, bird, lizard, bee..etc to its home.. I'm probably going to cancel the high reach... I find way too many hands on learning things for local education stores... Our way just works best for us.. High reach does have alot of activities but the toddler curriculum seems more for a older child...

Friday & Saturday

Friday was a travel day... Wasn't very pleasant.. Liana got car sick, puked... and we weren't even half way... So It was a stinky trip.....

Today we are just getting visitors.. Of course I try to show off her smartess and she won't do it.... figures.. oh well

Thursday smershday!!

Today was a gymboree day!! Uncle Jake took her.. We work on colors and pictures.. We also read Who says moo? Another great find from target dollar section.. When asked she points to the other animals in the story.. We played outside and now we are napping!!

Her toddler curriculum came today!! I was hoping it came before we left.. We're visiting my family for a week.. I'll still be able to post.. yippie

I went with this daycare program, its suppose to be adaptable for home use... Although it comes with a bunch of stuff you don't need.. hhmmm I wonder if they would make a homeschool version!! Anyways it seems like a very cute program, themes for each month with subtopics for the weeks and bonus seasonal activities.. Most of the activities seem to be hands on, Their is also a list for books needed from the library for the other activities... I'm not going to say I like it yet.. I will let you know my opinion after a week of use.. But the link is in my side bar if your interested in the high reach learning programs.. Its for toddlers, 2s, 3s, prek..

artsy wednesday!!

Today we worked on stringing her new blocks, also played with her shape puzzle... She had art class with uncle Jake... It was amusing!!! But they had fun.... Sorry no pictures today..

terrible tuesday!!

Today started out bad!!! Liana woke up a 6 am screaming!!! Its been down hill since.. It was a gymboree day and she was even crabby there.. We left early due to it.... She naping now so hopfully when she wakes up, she'll be happy again!!

We stopped by our local education station today!! Got this stringing block set by melissa & doug.. Its very cute. She's having trouble getting the string though the hole but its a learning process..

I also ordered these at the education station (not in stock)!!! They are so cute... Liana loves playing in her water table so I figured she'd love them, and they'd be good in the bath tub too... Check out the other views at this store...

Monday, funday!!

Today we focused on this book!! It has everything!! I absolutley love this book.. It would be a great book to travel with too!! She points to the pictures you ask about, like banana!! We read a story called I"m a pink piggy and we had a teddy bear dance party... She was also surprise by her uncle Jake, who came to visit us for a week... The above book can be found in my sidebar under bright baby, its a must have!!!

Sunday activities...

I'm very happy to get some pics taken today!! Remember these activities are not forced on toddlers.. Let them pick out some books and just go with it!! Make it a fun learning experience..

Liana playing with her shape flash cards.. We like to use them with her shape sorter.. I found that set of flash cards at the dollar store in a carebear set.. I think its time for a new set thou!!

Liana and daddy reading her wild baby animal mag. You can find the link to that in my sidebar.. Its very cute.. It has stories and rhymes.. They run for 2 months.. I wish they did them every month..

Its a heavy weight paper. But not indestructible!!! Today we also trimmed her pumkin plant, it was taking over our backyard... She made a rollie-pollie friend, then she lost it in the grass!! We rocked out to some raffi music.. I need to video that someday..She had a very exciting day as usual!!

resources are everywhere!!

Some of us may not realize that learning resoures are everywhere!! The places to look would be k-mart because I live by it! The dollar tree is also a good one, you can find cute books. My favorite targets' dollar section!! They always have cute books and nic-nacs for children.. Libraries are good but I like to buy our books, Liana destoys them sometimes..

Some other advice follow a good schedule!!! We are waiting for our learning package to come in the mail. So as of now our days go something like this:

7:30-8:30 Waking up, eating breakfast
8:30-9:30 getting the two of us dress
depending on the day Gymboree at 10 or 11
snack
9:30-11:45 playing & learning at the same time!! We read her books and point at things, play with mega blocks, and her shape sorter. (it doesn't take much)
12:00 lunch
12:30-2:00 depending on the weather, playing outside or playing with her toys.
2:00-4:30 naptime
snack
5:00-6:00 daddy comes home from work or running!!!
6:00 supper time!!
The rest of the day is doing whatever
8:30- bedtime for Liana

Thats our basic schedule!! I'd be lost without one... Its all on what works for you.. Our schedule will be chaging slightly when her learning tools come..

Things Liana can do!!

Liana is almost 17 months, just a few more days!! As of today Liana can: point and tell you were her and your eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, ears, arm, feet and toes are. She can count to 3, somethings five. She can tell you what noises a: chicken/rooster makes, bunny goes hop, duck says quack, cat goes meow, doggy goes woof and some others. She says thank you when given something, ocassianlly needs reminded. When she stamps your hand or gives you something she says there you go. She also has a very big vocabulary around 50 words or more. She loves blues clues, coloring, dancing, playing outside and of course bubbles!! She does so many things its hard to put it all down...
